The daughter has moved out, taking the grandchild with her. I have 2 choices: become bitter or become better. I admit I was not ready to Empty Nest. Sarah is only 17. I thought I would have at least 3 or 4 more years for her to get out of high school, go to college.... I hope I have given her roots, for she has certainly found her own wings.
Willard and I have decided that we are not going to sit around and grow old(er) greiving for my child. We are determined to get out and keep busy and fill our lives. By so doing, maybe we can encourage Sarah to make some adventures of her own.
Our first project will start tomorrow. We are going to start touring all the lighthouses on the Washington coast. (There are 27.) Tomorrow we will see at least one, as we have decided to take a quick trip to Moran state park. There is a lighthouse nearby (near Anacortes). Will let you know how that goes.
Pray for me. My child has always been my heart, and right now, my heart is broken.
